The 1861 Springfield maintains the classic styling and handling of the time-honored Musket, while offering great performance and affordability. This Springfield Kit comes in a .58 caliber rifled barrel, perfect for maxi or round ball shooters. Features include a high quality, premium metallic finish and hand-oiled gloss wood stock. The 1861 Springfield is approved by the North-South Skirmish Association (N-SSA).

The musket features a locking hooked breech for easy barrel cleaning and removal. The 1861 Springfield features a smooth single-action trigger in an ormate trigger-guard. The rifle also comes complete with classic metal embellishments and inlaid solid metal butt plate. The Traditions™ 1861 Springfield Musket Kit is a .58 caliber percussion rifle sporting a 40″ smooth bore barrel and custom metal ramrod. The musket has an overall length of 56″ and weighs in at 8.4 lbs.
